Good afternoon! I’m featuring another sheet mask for today and this is the YADAH Soothing Mask Pack. This was gifted to us by Yadah PH last Skinlfuencers PH event held in January. Yes, it kind of took me a while to try this mask out just because I have a lot of sheet masks on my stash. But anyway, here we are!
As described from www.glamourbox.ph’s website, Yadah’s Soothing Mask is made with 100% organic cotton and is infused with natural plant-based extracts that help relax, hydrate, and clear the skin. It also claims to be perfectly suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin. Of course, that got me sold, having to live with hypersensitive skin that always seems to break out at the slightest movements.
The product is housed in a cute, mint green packet, you know I’m weak for anything mint green so I just really had to point out the packaging.
The ingredients can be seen on the back side but since it’s not readable in this photo, I’ve provided the complete list below:
Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Water/Aqua, Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, PolySorbate 80, Water/Aqua, Lonicera Japonica(Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Citrus Paradisi(Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Water/Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hyaluronate.
If you will check out the ingredients carefully, you’ll see some really well-known ones in here such as Niacinamide and Aloe Vera leaf extract, I had to research on the other ingredients because they are in their unfamiliar scientific names and I was honestly pleasantly surprised about these ones.
1. Honeysuckle Flower Extract ( Lonicera Japonica)- rich in flavonoids and saponins, which are sources of antioxidants and protect the skin against free radicals that cause damage and signs of aging
2. Grapefruit Extract (Citrus Paradisi) – has anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties.
3. Japanese Pepper Fruit Extract (Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract) – this one’s a fairly new knowledge for me. But as I’ve gathered, it was said to have antioxidant effects (with active components called hyperoside and quercitrin), but more importantly, it is an antibacterial and natural preservative agent.
With regard to the mask itself, it is made of a thick, organic cotton and is generously soaked in the essence inside the packet. It was soaked but not tacky to use, unlike other masks that drip out of the packet and make a puddle on your floor. I really dislike that situations. But this one fully absorbed the absence and while the fabric was thick, it adhered to my skin well. It didn’t budge and the width and length was just perfect for my face.
I let it sit for twenty minutes as usual and when I removed it, my skin feels extra plump and hydrated. I really liked it! I hardly like sheet masks with thick fabrics but kudos to this one! There’s absolutely no tackiness nor sticky feeling. I will repurchase this for sure.
You can buy this product from this link. It originally costs Php 99.00 per packet but it is currently priced at only Php 70.00. That’s it! I hope you can give this one a try. Take care everyone!
