Another rainy morning is at hand. It\s already 10:16 AM here in PH as I write but the skies are so dark and everything’s gloomy. On top of that, I’m currently breaking out, must be because I stay up late at night a whole lot lately. And to make matters worse, my ring fingernail hurts so badly because of ingrown so I’m having difficulty typing. I guess I just have to battle all those peeves today with a pampering skincare routine.
I wasn’t able to take a photo of the cleanser I used because I just emptied it and threw it right away. I know some of you may cringe about it. But I did use the Plant Base AC Clear Cleanser, whose review can be found here for your reference.
So for the Toner, I used the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner since it’s very mild and it contains Salicylic Acid or BHA that’s perfect for those pimples. Further, this product claims to reduce blackheads, mildly exfoliate and hydrate and nourish your skin. Sounds all good especially when my skin is suffering from all these concerns! Next, I put on my holy grail sheet mask that I really, really can’t live without. The PAPA RECIPE Bombee Honey Mask. It’s my favorite because the mask itself is extremely thin, it almost looks non-existent when worn. Probably the thinnest mask I’ve tried and I like it because it feels lightweight. It reduced my constant redness as well as the irritated areas around my active pimples. The review can be read here.
The next stop is our moisturizer, the Plant Base AC CLEAR MOISTURE PURE N CREAM. This is moisturizing cream suitable for acne and troubled skin. Not only that, it likewise brightens skin while smoothing skin texture. The complete review can be read here.
For our serum, of course, I will be using a brightening one in order to prevent dark spots that may possibly be caused by these pimples. So I’m using the AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum. I use this both day and night, as the second to the last step of my skincare routine. I only use just a tiny pump and I place them on all my dark spots. My skin is somewhat sensitive to Niacinamide so I try my best to be careful with the amount of product I use. So far, this product has not yet irritated my skin. A complete review of this product can be read here.
Lastly, obviously, sunscreen! The most vital step for me. Two skin-soothing ingredients are found in this product. Namely, Green Tea; a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial ingredient that makes it an effective treatment for acne and oily skin. Second is plant-derived Squalane, which is best suitable for all skin types. It softens and smoothens the skin, all while preventing the ongoing loss of hydration. What is your acne-prone skincare routine? Take care, everyone!
