Hello everyone! Today is Good Friday and I pray that you are all safe and healthy.
Please allow me to share another review for today. This product that I’m reviewing today has been previously featured on the blog already for my initial impressions. It’s the Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam.
This was one of the seven-item gift box I received from stylekorean.com for their “Try Me, Review Me” Program last February. I wasn’t able to provide a full length review then since there was a huge delay in the receipt of the package. But fret not, I can already share my honest thoughts now. Please scroll further down to know my opinions about this product.
PRODUCT: Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam

PRICE: USD 15.30 or PHP 797.00 (15% off from stylekorean.com)
– Highly moisturizing, cleansing foam that protects the skin barrier
– Deep cleanse your skin with gentle and fine cream foam like whipped-cream.
– A creamy, moisturizing cleanser that effectively and gently removes makeup and everyday impurities.
– Helps relax sensitive skin while helping to strengthen a weakened skin barrier.
– Dermatologist Tested
HYALURONIC ACID – alleviates dry skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and speeds up wound healing.
CERAMIDES – lipids that help form the skin’s barrier and help retain moisture. It also helps the skin protect against environmental aggressors like irritants, and pollution.
PANTHENOL – improves hydration, reduces itching and inflammation of the skin and accelerates and improves healing of epidermal wounds.
BETA-GLUCAN – It has some antioxidant properties and is a skin-soothing agent.
MADECASSOSIDE – an active ingredient that has an anti-redness & anti-scaling effect.
ALLANTOIN – helps heal the skin and stimulates the growth of new tissue
CITRUS OIL – too much acidity and can cause irritations.
LAVENDER OIL – a skin allergen even in super diluted form.
USAGE: I use a pea sized amount for the entire face, including neck. I use this for both morning and evening routines.
Just like any standard cleansing foam sold in the market, the product is housed in a slick white and blue, squeezable tube with a dispenser and a snap-on cap.
Upon dispensing the product, you’d notice that it is on the creamy side, hence its name. A little goes a long way since it foams immediately and lathers quite well.
The foam has a subtle hint of citrus which I really like. It’s not strong, just spot on to give you that brief aromatic experience while cleansing.
It is easy to rinse and gives you a well moisturized feel. Somehow, my face feels a bit bouncier after every use.
Basing on its claims, the product is mostly focused on moisturizing the skin and being gentle enough for sensitive skin. True to its claims, and as mentioned above, it provides intense hydration which is why I usually reach out for this especially on drier days.
As regards to being gentle, I will also vouch for this. My skin isn’t just sensitive, but hypersensitive. This is the reason why I’m very particular with cleansers and its ingredients. Most of the time, my face turns Red and develops rashes almost immediately whenever I used a harsh cleanser.
Thankfully, I did not experience any negative reactions on my face despite the presence of some essential oils. It seems that my skin tolerates citrus quite well.
RATING: 4/5. While I recommend this product for those with dull, dry and sensitive skin, I cannot recommend this for stingy farts like me. Even on sale, it is still very expensive for a cleanser. The original price is Php 938.00, or almost a thousand, just for a cleanser. I do not have the heart, much less the budget, to splurge for a cleanser. I can suggest a ton of other good cleansers which are half the price or maybe even cheaper.
Please do note that this is just my personal take.
REPURCHASE: Not anytime soon.
