I love Centella Asiatica products, obviously. It’s one of the few skin care ingredients that have worked well and wonders on my hypersensitive skin. You see, I’m always on the edge whenever I’m about to try on new products for fear of negative reactions. I usually become all Red and then breakout right after using a new item, even with patch testing. Even Niacinamide breaks me out, considering it’s claimed to be great for any skin-type. So I’m quite thankful for the discovery of Centella Asiatica. I know I’m sounding biased already so read on and find out whether this Purito product is the one for you!
PURITO is one of South Korea’s best loved skin care brands. The Brand name comes from the combination of the words “Purify” and “To” (comes from a Chinese character, 土 meaning “Soil”). “Purify” implies their use of natural ingredients to formulate clean and safe products and “To” which means to go back to basics in strengthening and repairing damaged skin barriers. The best part of this, aside from largely promoting the use of EWG green ingredients, is being a cruelty-free brand.

I’ve been using this product for about a month and to be frank, I love this! My skin has loved Centella Asiatica extract and has helped me reduce my breakouts. In fact, this is probably the longest period that I’ve gone pimple-free. *Knocks on wood*
When this serum was generously gifted to me by Purito, I must admit, I skipped patch testing. I was very confident how my skin takes in Centella Asiatica like it has always been a familiar part of my system, and true enough, it didn’t give me any negative reactions whatsoever.
Now first things first, I like that the packaging is a clear, frosted, plastic bottle, with a sturdy Black pump and a clear plastic cap. The writings are a striking Green, which looks very simple and straightforward.
With regard to being unscented, there’s still a very mild scent if you sniff in really carefully. It’s very mild though, almost non-existent. Almost, but not quite.
The texture, on the other hand, feels gel-like but a bit more watery. It looks cloudy inside the packaging but is actually crystal clear when dispensed. I absolutely love how watery and lightweight this feels, it is easily absorbed by the skin, just wait for it to set for a good few seconds.
This serum is my current go-to for whatever skin condition I’m in ; whether it feels dry, dull, textured or oily, I reach out for this and it calms my skin immediately. It also gives me that much needed hydration without being a grease factory. All in all, this is a must have for any skin type.
RATING: 10/10. From the packaging to the texture to the actual effects on me, this is a perfect 10. I haven’t removed this from my routine from the moment I started using it. It’s easily absorbed, it moisturizes, it keeps my oil at bay, calms my redness, and most importantly, it controls my breakouts.
REPURCHASE: ABSOLUTELY! I’ve been loving all Purito products since they’re formulated with safe ingredients therefore, is perfect for Trying-to-conceive wives like me. I believe there has not been a Purito product that did not work for me, so far.
