Dark spots and aging skin had been my biggest skin issues for the longest time. Most of my blogger friends have urged me to use chemical exfoliants, which I’ve said NO to countless times before. The thought of incorporating acids into my routine frightened me so bad because of my hypersensitive skin but I must admit I felt confused whether I should give in or not. But it must have been in my stars to use acids when I luckily won a Jumiso Set (Toner, Serum and Moisturizer) Giveaway last year. It was my first ever Acid skin care product and I made a lot of research and interviews with some friends to ensure I’d be using it right. Read on to find out my experience!

The Jumiso Yes I Am Toner AHA 5% brims with key ingredients to leave skin thoroughly clean, soothed, and protected from free radical damage. A signature, soothing alcohol-free toner that refines the look of pores while boosting resilience and vitality. Prep your skin to perfection, leaving a flawless, luminous base.
I started using this every other night. After a couple of weeks without experiencing irritations, I began using it daily but only during PM routine. You may use this in the morning but ensure to wear sunscreen.
Firstly, let’s talk about the packaging. What I have with me is the newer version which is a 150 ML clear, hard plastic bottle with a roll-on cap. It looks very simple but the design on the bottle made it cute and attractive especially to the younger market. May I just mention that the product name is very cute as well!
As to the toner itself, there is a bit of lemon-y scent when you smell it carefully, nothing too obvious. The texture, on the other hand, almost looks and feels like water. See it for yourself in the photo below. I needed to capture the texture quickly before it dripped. It’s definitely watery which is good, it’s a good sign of its weightlessness and fast absorption.
It took me about a week before I saw some results, which is rather swift and drastic if you ask me. Those pesky dark spots that I’ve been worrying about since forever seemed to lighten immediately and I noticed such huge improvement as well in my oily T-Zone. It didn’t totally eliminate my grease but it was reduced to a much more tolerable amount. My enlarged pores seemed to appear smaller too. I continued using it religiously for months and I can finally say, Acids are life changing! I wish I could’ve introduced Acids into my routine sooner!
RATING: 5/5. I’ve missed out on quite a lot of great products just because of my hypersensitive skin. Acids may seem intimidating at first but this Jumiso Toner, fortunately, contains only 5% of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (combination of Glycolic and Lactic Acids) which made decide to give it a try, together with my desperation for clear skin. Thank goodness my skin could tolerate that amount, meaning if you have sensitive skin like mine, then I encourage you to get this one if you are a newbie to Chemical exfoliants. This is very gentle and definitely a great introduction to Acids! Then perhaps, you may jump onto a higher AHA percentage once your skin learns to adjust to it. It’s a little pricey for me, but considering the results, I wouldn’t hesitate to repurchase!
Let me remind you about my discount code too in case you’d like to purchase from Go Bloom and Glow! It’s BASILANRA100, that’s PHP 100.00 off your bill when you buy a minimum of Php 1,000.00. You can use this link to purchase.
