We’re in the middle of summer, and a lockdown too, making the temperature around the house twice as unbearable. During these times of dryness with greasiness, I seek for comfort from face mists! You can’t deny that mists are probably one of the best innovations in skin care lol. If I can hoard mists, I definitely would!
Today, I’m sharing with you my thoughts on an organic spray-type toner which I won from a giveaway sometime last year. I know this review’s long overdue but hey! Better late than never! Scroll past down to know my thoughts about the Doremiel Organics Organic Honey Toner.
Doremiel Organics is a Canadian organic skincare brand whose products’ key ingredient is organic honey. They also use Amla fruit, Mango Seed Butter, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Cocoa Butter, Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sesame Oil and Babassu Oil. The brand promises that they are Non GMO, free from Glutens, Parabens, Hydrogenation, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate and Artificial Fragrances.

This honey toner is a spray-type toner, housed in a frosty-looking hard plastic bottle. It has a bright Yellow sticker label that comes off as really girly and fun! My initial reaction? “YASS!” I’ve always preferred spray/mist-type toners since it’s quite convenient to use. You can double it up as face mist and is there anyone who doesn’t like mists though?
I appreciate that it’s organic, safe from harmful chemicals which is a huge plus point for TTCs (trying to conceive) ladies like me.
I frequently reach out to this because it’s extremely hydrating! Most probably because of the combination of honey and aloe. It gives me that instant refreshing and cooling feeling amidst this scorching heat.
The mist that comes out is of very fine particles, thus making it lightweight and easily absorbed by the skin, and of course, leaving a non-tacky feeling.
Kindly note though of the scent. If you are the type who prefers toners with a slight fragrance to it, this isn’t for you. It has a strong scent of the Earth. I’m not sure how to put this properly but it smells like plants, soil, the smell of the ground after the rain.
Also, it didn’t do anything for my pimples. I honestly expected it to help dry up pimples because of the honey. I’ve heard that honey is a great antibacterial ingredient that fights away acne. I didn’t see much improvement on that department.
It likewise claims to tighten pores. I don’t know if my pores are just too big already that it’s no longer salvageable? I didn’t notice any pore tightening effect in the course of usage.
RATING: 3/5. I still love this toner very much because of the hydrating benefits and importantly, I appreciate toners that have no sticky feeling. Most hydrating toners leave me feeling somewhat greasy and it’s annoying.
On the other hand, while I adore this product a lot, I unfortunately may not purchase this because of the price point and other expenses related to it. At 75 ML, it is priced at $21.50 or PHP 1,075.00, which is on the expensive side. The Shipping fee for this is also not yet included so you can just imagine how it would cost me an arm and a leg if I will have it shipped from Canada to the Philippines. I am unemployed so I cannot afford to spend a lot for one product. This is why I feel utterly happy and fortunate that I won these products and had the rare chance of trying them.
