It’s midweek again, hooray! Time seems to stand still when you’re rotting at home, yes? But at least we’re safe hehe. So I’m back with the full review of this Vitamin E and Aloe Face and Body Cream from our homegrown brand called Agdigus Essentials, which was gifted to us during the Skinfluencers PH Event. Scroll down to know my opinions about it.
VOLUME : 50 ML
INGREDIENTS: (obtained from the description on their website)
JOJOBA OIL, this is very close to natural skin oil, it immediately penetrates the skin – it has anti inflammatory properties and reduce redness caused by drying, ease the effects of eczema.
ARGAN OIL, contains a large number of healing properties, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Argan oil has both antibacterial and fungicidal properties. This gives it the capability to help treat and prevent both bacterial and fungal skin infections.
VITAMIN E, is not a single vitamin, but rather a group of fat-soluble vitamins with antioxidant effects. Vitamin E may alleviate the dryness, itching, and flaking associated with eczema, or atopic dermatitis. The moisturizing benefits of vitamin E oil may help the skin look more youthful and less wrinkled.
HYALURONIC ACID, can enhance moisture content of our skin. It also revitalizes skin’s outer surface layers, meaning they look and feel softer, smoother and radiantly hydrated. This all-natural ingredient improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
ALOE VERA EXTRACT, filled with beauty benefits and can rid you of almost all your skin woes. Known to be a natural moisturizer. Even for oily and acne-prone skin, this ingredient has proved to be a brilliant moisturizer
USAGE: I personally use this as my body moisturizer, particularly right after taking a shower.
PACKAGING. As mentioned in my first impressions post, the packaging looks regal in this frosted glass jar that is dark brown in color with a white protective lid and black roll on cap. The packaging itself is modest, doesn’t contain much information about the product but nonetheless, the box that comes with it has all of those.
SCENT. My number one problem. The fragrance is too strong that it gave me a terrible headache. It smells like a harsh powdered detergent.
TEXTURE. it’s definitely not lightweight, I hope my shots can properly showcase how thick this cream is. It’s more on the buttery side although it glides onto the skin flawlessly.
APPLICATION. I’ve decided to use this cream for my body instead. I’m breaking out horribly for the last two weeks and I don’t think using products on my face with fragrance as strong as this one is a good idea. Good thing it makes up for a good body lotion, or body butter rather. While it is extremely thick, it is easily absorbed by my skin. It has a bit of tackiness which goes away after a few minutes.
EFFECT. Just like any body moisturizer, this cream hydrates my skin so good. I tend to have a relatively flaky surface especially on my legs so I reach out to this product more often since it combats that flakiness well.
RATING: 3/5. The scent is such a downer. To be honest, I’m not very sensitive to fragrances but this one really stings my nostrils up to my skull. I hope the brand can reduce the amount of fragrance here.
Price. Php 450.00 for a 50 ml product is pricey. I will most definitely finish this in a probably a couple of weeks. Not just because I decided to use this on my body. But it’s clearly indicated that it’s a body cream as well so I was hoping they can formulate another variant that’s much larger and economical.
REPURCHASE. Probably not. I prefer unscented or mild scented face/body creams.
